A nice and soothing session in a luxurious spa is every girl’s dream. A spa session relaxes your body, brightens up your face, skin and other targeted areas. It is a great way to treat yourself as it includes expensive wraps and other rare beauty regimes.

However these can be very expensive and a single session can cost you thousands of rupees. The ingredients that you use daily in your kitchen can give you the best pick-me-ups for your face.

In winters, the cold and the harsh strip off the moisture from your skin. It causes clogged pores and blemishes.

Natural ingredients which contain vitamins A, B, C and E can restore the moisture on your face and reduce the roughness. The good thing is all of these are easily available in your kitchen. 1. Papaya Face Mask:

Most of us love to eat ripe yellow papayas as they are rich in vitamin A. But do you know that papaya can effectively exfoliate the skin. It has a special enzyme called the “papain” that removes skin impurities. It is great for removing dead skin.

To make a facial mask, puree a few papaya pieces
To this add some rice flour and mix well.
Apply this on the face and keep for 15 minutes.

2. Tomato Face Pack:

Tomatoes contain “lycopene”, which is considered as an age defying ingredient. It is known to fight acne and also reduces blackheads and pimples. It contains vitamin A and C which brightens up dull skin and reduces blemish. Tomatoes also act as an astringent and are very soothing for your skin.

Simply crush a few pieces of tomato to get the pulp out of it.
Apply this pulp onto your face
Keep it for about 20 minutes and rinse it off with cool water.

3. Cucumber Face Pack:

Another favourite ingredient amongst all, the cucumber has a cooling effect on your skin. It is very hydrating and also gives you a spotless glow on your face. Cucumber can also be applied under your eyes to soothe the skin and reduce under eye puffiness.

Grate the cucumber and chill it in your refrigerator for some time.
Clean your face with a mild face wash.

Apply the grated cucumber on your face and massage slowly.
Keep this for 30 minutes and rinse it off with cool water.
You can also slice the cucumber and put it over your eyes and relax.

4. Avocado Face Pack:

A great source of vitamin A and potassium, avocado helps your skin to maintain its healthy and beautiful glow. Avocados naturally contain a deep penetrating vegetable oil that is perfect for dry skin care. It also tightens the skin pores, and can reduce swelling and inflammation of the skin. Ideal for a winter face mask, avocado is also known for their hydrating properties.

Mash half an avocado with a fork until its creamy and lump free.
Then add 1 teaspoon of olive oil or honey into it.

Mix it well and apply all over the face.
Leave it for 10 minutes.
Rinse it off with Luke warm water.

5. Oats Face Pack:

Oats is the best friend of any oily skinned beauty. It contains “saponins” which helps in removing dirt from the pores. Oats are the nature’s most effective exfoliates which gently removes the dead cells from the skin. It also contains oils that help to soften the skin. Oats helps your face to get rid of black heads, pimples and early wrinkles.

Crush the oatmeal into a powder.
Add 1 teaspoon of honey and raw milk into it.

Apply this onto your face by gently massaging in circular motion.
Keep for about 10 minutes and rinse it off.

Always remember to make these face masks fresh and use them immediately. Do not preserve them for long. Always check that if you are allergic to a certain fruit before using these face masks.
